My goal is to use chiropractic care, movement analysis and nutritional education to provide patients with a holistic approach to neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
About
About the Office
I grew up in Waverly, NY and earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in March 2022 after completing undergraduate studies in biochemistry and pre-medicine at SUNY Corning and SUNY Cortland. I hold additional certifications in Whole Food Nutrition and Functional Movement Analysis. I have been practicing in the region since 2022, but in December 2024, opened my own practice.
At Emms Chiropractic, I practice chiropractic care differently than most high-volume offices. Appointments are intentionally longer and focused on understanding why pain or dysfunction is happening, not just where it hurts. Each visit is designed to identify movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and neurological contributors that affect how your body functions day-to-day.
I don’t believe in quick adjustments and rushed appointments. Care typically includes detailed neurological and musculoskeletal evaluation, hands-on manual techniques, and active therapeutic exercises tailored to your specific needs. This approach allows us to address the root causes of musculoskeletal issues rather than temporarily masking symptoms.
My goal is not simply pain relief, but helping patients move better, work more comfortably, and maintain long-term function.
Why I Don’t Accept Insurance
Many patients ask if I accept insurance. I choose not to participate with insurance plans because most insurance companies reimburse only for brief, adjustment-based visits and do not account for the additional time required for proper assessment, exercise instruction, and individualized care.
By operating outside of insurance networks, I am able to:
Spend more time with each patient
Provide one-on-one, personalized treatment
Incorporate active care and movement-based strategies
Avoid rushed or volume-driven care models
Patients are always welcome to use HSA or FSA funds, and I am happy to provide superbills and receipts upon request.
What to Expect
Patients often describe visits as more thorough and educational than traditional chiropractic appointments. Time is spent explaining findings, demonstrating exercises, and making sure you understand how to support your recovery outside the office.
Some conditions cannot be completely resolved, but every care plan is designed to improve comfort, function, and quality of life.
